Associated Freight Brokers, Inc. is seeking to add a quality, established freight broker with a book of business to expand our local office. With a no limit bonus structure, becoming a member of the AFB team is a tremendous opportunity. AFB, Inc is a debt free company in its 28th year of operation. The company maintains a $1,000,000 Contingent Auto Liability Policy, a $250,000 Contingent Cargo Ins. Policy, a XXXX Transportation Membership in the Blue Book, a **** Red Book rating with BCA and a $100,000 TIA Performance Certified Bond. Responsibilities Include:
  • Evaluating shippers, receivers, and carriers against company requirements.
  • Building and expanding a book of business in accordance with company objectives that result in long-term relationships
  • Negotiating freight charges with customers and carriers.
  • Booking orders; hiring carriers; dispatching and mentoring drivers; scheduling deliveries; tracking and reporting on shipments; resolving problems.
  • Evaluating negotiating and processing of freight claims.

Experienced in sales, shipping and receiving, transportation experience in perishables and/or other commodities. Qualified candidates must be CLOSERS with the ability to take ownership and manage all that can happen in a transaction involving the transportation of a load of perishables.
